Links Page on Reengineering

By linking to the sites below I DO NOT indicate agreement with everything which is on the sites. I merely provide them for information purposes.

Please remember that many of these sites are commercial sites, developed and maintained by companies eager to offer their consulting services in the area of reengineering.

Note: If you have another site you would like to nominate for inclusion by a link on this page, drop me an email at bill@billparr.org.

bulletReengineering Resource Center - This site contains, in the "Library" section, a variety of short articles which you may find of interest. Many of the references are not recent, but they still have some material worth reading. If you select the link for "Press Office" you will see links to three List Servers on various subjects related to Business Process Reengineering.

bulletBusiness Process Reengineering - This site contains links to a large number of interesting sites. Explore when you have lots of time to look around!

bulletReengineering Forum - An industry association web site which attempts to capture information about "the state of the art and the state of the practice in reengineering of software, systems, and business processes." (The site is ACTUALLY very strongly focused on software and "Reverse Engineering!")

bulletReengineering Bibliography - This site provides a bibliography of many books on the subject of Business Process Reengineering. There are some interesting articles on Help Desks and Customer Service applications.

bulletBPR Online Learning Center - A very commercial site, but with some interesting tutorials and other material. Lots of focus on HR issues and Change Management.

bullet Reengineering - An Article by Paul A. Strassmann excerpted from The POlitics of Information Management, The Information Economics Press, 1995. Much here with which I would STRONGLY DISAGREE, but it's still good to be exposed to the point of view.

bulletBusiness Process Reengineering: Research, Tools, Practice - An interesting site which collects far more links than I have the patience to explore. Explore away and let me know if you find specific items of strong interest!

bulletHammer and Company - The WWW site for MIchael Hammer's company - Hammer and Company. SOme interesting information (book excerpts) here.

bulletJames Champy - Champy's WWW site, also with some good content, particularly on "X-Engineering." Champy with Hammer's co-author on one of the early books on reengineering, titled "Reengineering the Corporation: A Manifesto for Business Revolution." Check out the Articles link.

bulletBPR Online Learning Center - Critical Lessons Learned from 327 Project Teams - You will probably benefit from this summary of the results of interviewing over 300 project teams working on major process redesign efforts.

bulletThe BPR Online Learning Center's general Tutorial Series may also be of interest.
